The Sire of Future Champions

With an extraordinary ability to lower his body in the straight, extend his powerfulWyndspelle stride and take off, Wyndspelle is described to have an irresistible burst in the race. His clinical execution sees him flying past his peers with ease, adding the Gr.1 Captain Cook Stakes to his expanding racing career in an impressive display of both speed and class.

“Racing at the highest level from age two through six, Wyndspelle was Group One placed on seven occasions, including a third placing in the Gr.1 Cantala Stakes (1600m) at Flemington behind fellow Kiwi bred Shillelagh.

Prepared by Johno Benner and Hollie Wynyard through the latter half of his career, Wyndspelle was a model of consistency, netting connections close to $700,000 in prizemoney.

Wyndspelle is based at Grangewilliam Stud in South Taranaki where he will stand for a fee of $5,000 plus GST.

Grangewilliam Stud principal Mark Corcoran is delighted to secure Wyndspelle for stud duties, joining a roster that features young stallions Derryn and The Bold One in addition to Group One sire Zed” Report RacingNews.

For the Jen Campin Bloodstock team and loyal, dedicated Wyndspelle partners John and Shirley Frew and Neil Randles, standing Wyndspelle is a proud and ecstatic moment for us all. The Grangewilliam Stud farm’s complete equine complex, location and strong history in breeding on high quality pastures gives us the confidence that Wyndspelle is in good hands.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with Grangewilliam Stud to stand Wyndspelle. The high calibre of work and excellent horse welfare that Grangewilliam is renowned for continues under the competent direction of Mark.

“I’m rapt to have the chance to stand him. He was a high-class racehorse and obviously very sound as evidenced by his racing longevity. Most good stallions come from good female families and he fulfils that criteria. He will really complement our existing roster of stallions” Mark Corcoran said to RacingNews.

JCB has recently purchased a number of well-bred mares from Australia by Encosta de Lago, Redoute’s Choice and Snitzel, all with strong female bloodlines. They are perfect types for Wyndspelle, including a young mare from the grand family of ‘Venation Lady’. These are additional to those in our current broodmare band that we have successfully sold yearlings out of at NZB Karaka Book 1.

In today’s market, the decision to offer free nationwide transport as part of the service package to Wyndspelle is something we believe, to be a point of difference and a substantial benefit for New Zealand breeders.

We have also offered up to 15 lifetime breeding rights available to breeders for the first season. A one-time payment entitles the broodmare owner to send two mares for the first three seasons and then one every year after that for life, whilst Wyndspelle is standing in New Zealand. Should Wyndspelle project an increase in the service fee, your investment is profitable and sound.

Our company mission “Purpose and fulfilment lie not just in the success of your own dreams, but in doing all you can to help others to achieve theirs” is in the forefront of our decision making.

We are confident in the success of Wyndspelle and his future progeny. He’s made an evident footprint both domestically and internationally acquiring a following from punters and the media which have been a humbling experience to watch.

Applications are now being taken.
