WYNDSPELLE TO STAND FOR $10,000 AT CORNWALL PARK, VICTORIA

In his highly anticipated first Australian season, multiple Group 1 performer Wyndspelle (NZ) (Iffraaj) will stand at Cornwall Park, Victoria at a service fee of $10,000 (ex GST).“We’re delighted to offer Wyndspelle at such a highly competitive fee,” commented Cornwall Park’s Managing Director Peter Boyle.

“He was an elite performer in every racing season and ticks all the boxes. He’s a Group One mile winner at weight-for-age and 8 times Group One placed from 2yo to 6yo in both NZ and Australia plus his first yearlings and the foals following them are lovely types.

“We all know that Group One mile winners make great sires and are commercially very attractive in the Australian market. Wyndspelle is from one of the best branches of the Mr Prospector sireline and he’s free of Danehill/Danzig which makes him an ideal cross for mares with those bloodlines.

“He’s a great addition to Victoria’s stallion ranks and his service fee represents great value for broodmare owners.

“He’s beautifully bred, being by Iffraaj out of a High Chaparral mare and good judges on both sides of the Tasman have his yearlings in their stables,” he added.

Wyndspelle arrived at Cornwall Park in December after standing his first 3 seasons in New Zealand, and according to Boyle has adapted beautifully to Australian conditions.

“He settled in very quickly and looks a picture. He’s a lovely strong type and very easy to work with.”
